French Air Force Brigadier General Fabien Kuzniak joins Safran as the Group’s Military Advisor, as of September 1, 2024. He reports directly to Philippe Errera, Safran EVP, International and Public Affairs.
Fabien Kuzniak began his career as a fighter pilot and was part of numerous overseas operations in Africa, Central America, the Middle East, and Central Europe. He commanded the French Joint Air Task Force in Chad in 2007, the Normandie-Niemen fighter regiment in Colmar in 2008 and 2009, and Air Force Base 702 in Avord (France). He was second-in-command of Operation Barkhane in the Sahel region of Africa from 2021 to 2022.

 

His career has steadily progressed with the Ministry of the Armed Forces — from the French MoD’s Strategic Command to its Operations Planning and Command Center and International Military Relations as well as various roles with the Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces.

 

Fabien Kuzniak, 54, is a graduate of the École de l’Air de Salon de Provence (1990 / French military academy). He holds a fighter pilot license (1994) and has a master’s degree in strategy, international relations and industrial dynamics from Université Panthéon-Assas (2006).
