HENSOLDT, a provider of sensor solutions, in partnership with the Förderkreis Deutsches Heer (FKH), is organizing this year's FKH Autumn Symposium. The event is scheduled to take place in Heidenheim on October 23 and 24. This two-day symposium will convene representatives from political, industrial, academic, and military sectors to engage in discussions regarding contemporary trends and advancements in defense technology.

The symposium will include a series of technical presentations in which experts will offer insights into various dimensions of modern defence systems. Key topics will encompass the future of network-enabled warfare, advancements in sensor and reconnaissance technologies, and innovative strategies for enhancing protection and defence systems in the land domain. These presentations will facilitate a detailed analysis and professional dialogue concerning current challenges and viable solutions. HENSOLDT will also unveil the latest generation of optronics systems and thermal imagers designed for the Leopard 2, PUMA, and Boxer RCT30 armoured vehicles.

An integral component of the event will be the field demonstration of the Military Utility Vehicle (MUV), which will illustrate advanced reconnaissance capabilities through the integration of land-based networked sensors. During this demonstration, the MUV will utilize machine learning algorithms to identify camouflaged combat vehicles and relay information in real-time to a networked command and control system. Equipped with an AI-based reconnaissance assistant, the MUV will enhance command and control capabilities by facilitating target sharing among the vehicle's workstations. Networked sensors, including laser warning systems and optronics, will enable automatic threat detection, rendering the MUV a pivotal asset in contemporary combat operations.

Participants will also have the opportunity to observe HENSOLDT's target optics in action at a specially designated firing range. These optics, renowned for their precision and reliability, constitute part of the advanced equipment HENSOLDT provides for military and security applications, including the ‘Infantryman of the Future’ system (German: Infanterist der Zukunft, abbreviated as IDZ) for the German Army.

In addition to the technical presentations, attendees will be allowed to visit the HENSOLDT facility in Oberkochen. This site symbolizes the company's sustained commitment to research and development and is engaged in pioneering solutions that will shape the future of defense technology.

“HENSOLDT perceives itself as a catalyst for the development of innovative technologies for defence and security. As a trusted partner and supplier to the German Army, we prioritize delivering solutions that address the escalating demands of modern digitized warfare,” stated Christian Ladurner, CFO of HENSOLDT AG, in his opening remarks. “Our position as a technology provider is reinforced not only by our groundbreaking products but also by our commitment to fostering collaboration between industry and military sectors.”
