Smith Myers, the global leader in cellular communications solutions, proudly announces the selection by Nova Systems of its ARTEMIS Mobile Phone Location and Communications system for integration into its airborne mission system contract for a European Coast Guard.
ARTEMIS will be installed across a fleet of AW189 helicopters, playing a crucial role in supporting SAR (search and rescue) missions.
Integrator Nova Systems will utilize their EASA-approved Part 21 Design Organization based in Shannon, to ensure a tailored solution that meets the rigorous SAR mission requirements for the helicopter fleet.
Ronnie Trasler, General Manager of Aerospace Integration at Nova Systems, said the major SAR contract will ensure accelerated capability, improvements and longevity of vital lifesaving search and rescue aviation services.
